These reusable makeup removal pads are a relatively new one for me, I hadn’t really thought too much about cotton wool until recently. But I have since found out that a lot of our cotton wool contains synthetic fibres – or plastic. And even the pure cotton wool uses a lot of natural resources to make. In particular, cotton is incredibly thirsty! And most cotton wool is packaged in plastic.

Now you may be thinking that this is a faff, and not the ‘simple’ option. But actually I’ve found it pretty easy. Inside this pack you get 16 pads and you can generally use them twice – front and back. So all I’ve needed to do is stick them in my regular wash. It genuinely hasn’t been any extra work.
They are really soft on your skin and there are a couple in there as well that are more exfoliating if you want a deeper clean.
- Made from Bamboo (60-80%), cotton and polyester (slight downside)
- Come with a 100% cotton wash bag but I use that for storage and just stick them in free
- Bambaw have a 100% CO2 Neutral supply chain
- Wash at 40 degrees. The wash bag does stop them getting stuck in the door area if you have an issue with that
- They can be tumble dried on low heat
- Plastic free packaging
